Landscape Warranties: Carefully Read Your Contract!

Not all warranties are created equal.  Warranty work greatly varies in length of time as well as what is covered.  It is important to review all warranty information before you sign a contract.  Warranties are different for plant material, sod, and hardscapes, so be sure to know what the warranty is for each one.  If it is not in writing then you can assume it will not happen.

One of the largest landscaping companies in Southeastern Michigan provides only a 3 month warranty on trees they install.  One of the largest sod installation companies in Michigan provides no warranty on new lawns they install.  Almost all warranties for hardscapes are limited to short term time periods for most companies that service this area.  Many companies point blank exclude warranties from their work.  Be sure that you thoroughly check the warranty periods on any company you hire to protect your investment.  They certainly aren't going to honor anything more than they offer in writing.  We stand behind all of our work and offer the longest written warranties in the industry on everything we do.
