Credit Cards

The credit card world has changed for vendors because of all the perks credit card companies must give customers to stay competitive.  This industry movement has resulted in skyrocketing merchant fees.  The brutal gas station market began offering cash pricing to avoid credit card fees associated with transactions whenever possible.  Many industries followed soon after.  With fees as high as 3% merchants must create a creative way to build them into the cost of doing business and/or offer cash discounts.  At Squeals Landscaping Inc. we try to avoid credit cards because we have not built the fees into our services.  All of our prices are for cash, check, or wire transfer.  We charge a 3% convenience fee for credit cards to cover our additional processing costs.  This decision was made because of our high volume and low margin business model we have created to stay successful in the landscape world.
